Anne Sexton (1928 - 1974)

Despite her long struggle with depression and attempted suicide, Anne built a legacy of sublime poetry.  She was a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature in London, a Pulitzer Prize winner, a high school teacher, seminar teacher at Boston University, etc.  She ended her own life on October 3, 1974, after a poetry reading.
