her dyspepsia

and the awkward way

he leans back

while the sun passes

over each of them

like a brilliant blanket

on different sides of thought

he smiles strangely

the big S on his chest

as a pact the two made

without blood

nothing is permanent

in dialogue

without eye contact

the worst way to communicate

the worst way to love

or hate

the worst way to say hello

or goodbye
