In Mongolia Karnov was 33 hard-knocks old.
A youth's feather-bedded complexion.
He's Snapper Fish eyes,
A plain sailing brow,
Exquisite like a woman's.
He rasps all foes
Into crumbly shores.
Flesh-creep mutineers flinch
In burnt-out tanks.
There is neither trinket nor petticoat
About Karnov; he is gristle
Around an ice-bound heart.
