C.S. Lewis (1898 - 1963)

 Clive Staples Lewis conducted a stellar writing and teaching career lasted about 40 years until his in 1963 - on the same day JFK was murdered and Aldous Huxley passed away, three years after his beloved Joy died of cancer.  Clive Staples Lewis, once an obstinate atheist, became a Christian shortly after a walk and talk with his 

good friend and fellow Inkling, J.R.R. Tolkein.
