I Have Listened and Heard Enough

I wish I could give you
another name.  Yours,
when spoken aloud
even in its briefest form,
attracts attention.

So well known, it is
said by too many
loose lipped mouths
who haven't the foggiest
idea how to say it.

Uttered so often
and with frenzy,
whole letters becoming
fragments, the B's falling
flat from tongues to concrete
and breaking their spines.

The oh rolling away.
