I Will Haunt You

"Cheaper plots, like those below,
flood in rain."  I would not yield:
"Not a problem even so;
Mother swam.  Let's make a deal."

"I will haunt you," Mother said,
"if you spend a penny more
than you have to when I'm dead.
   Caskets need no metal door!"

"Humph!"  the only wooden box
we sell looks like iron," he sighs.
Gray and dusty fabric mocks
metal badly, but "I'll buy."

"I will haunt you," Mother said,
"if you spend a penny more
than you have to when I'm dead.
   Caskets need no metal door!"

"Weeds are not allowed!"  She snatched
pink and purple flowers I'd placed
right above your head.  Now latched,
still your lid spurns purchased grace.

"I will haunt you," so you said,
"if you spend a penny more
than you have to when I'm dead.
   Caskets need no metal door!"

Nuclear Waste

Hi there!

A Rose Is...

No, Sister Gertie,
A rose is a
flower is a
resurrection is an
erection is a
momento is an Is.
