Desperation

I throw myself in front of you
like I'm throwing myself in front of a train,
the impact of your body against mine.

I am tangled in your wheels.
Cut me red.
Spread me over the earth.

Make me believe.
Annihilate me
in the thrown-open blind wonder of you.

Love Poem

For five years,
I made love
to this carpet,
instead of you.
